Levels of Marketing

Good day. May this newsletter find you happy and healthy at the
end of a long and profitable work day. My family and I are
gearing up for a church retreat at a ranch about an hour outside
of Tulsa. I'm looking forward to spending time with friends and
family and maybe get some alone time, too. New Life Ranch has
this great little one room prayer chapel that overlooks a large
pond. It's real serene and quiet, and I always look forward to
spending some time there -- hopefully doing some journaling. It's
a good thing to be reflective and get your thoughts down. Makes
it easier to deal with challenges. I'm also hosting the event and
will be performing magic and warming up the attendees before each
sermon, so this should be fun on many levels.

Levels ... do you look at your marketing on different levels?
There's the web site level, the email marketing level, the search
engine optimization level, the social networking level, etc. I
think one of the traps I see many companies fall into is focusing
all of their energy on a single level or becoming complacent
believing a single level of marketing is enough.

No one can deny the importance of the social networking level,
but I still find many people under-estimating the work required
to maintain a social networking presence across multiple networks
OR over-estimating the projected impact of their social
networking efforts. I still think a lot has to do with frequency
as well as content and targeting. Ignore any one of these and
you're throwing time and money at the wall. Just yelling about
yourself on social networks is no promise of wealth.

Here's two new social networking products that you might find
helpful:

Social Media Profits
http://www.resellerproducts.com/socialmediaprofits/

This is a great product for those of you who need education across
social network services -- which ones are the ones to focus on,
how do they work, how do you get started.

Facebook Fan Page Dollars
http://www.resellerproducts.com/facebookfanpagedollars/

If you want to focus on Facebook, this product will show you how
to tap into the power of Fan Pages. How and when to set them up
and use them, and how to promote your business or products
effectively through them.

Check'em out, and I'll talk to you next week when I return from
my retreat.

All my best,

Steven
